VERY IMPORTANT NEWS RE: TEXT MESSAGING FROM SA!
We have some very important news regarding our text messaging system; PLEASE take a moment to read this, as it may impact your ability to receive info from us regarding weather issues, practice schedule adjustments, etc.
We are changing from the Remind system to the SportsYou app. Here's why:
- Many schools are getting away from Remind and switching to SportsYou; it's a free, secure system that allows coaches and administrators to send one-way texts to families. SportsYou doesn't ever sell any student data, there aren't limits on team/ group sizes, and SHS Swimming and Water Polo has been on the system for nearly a year now, with nothing but positive feedback.
- Taking yourself out of a given group is simple, once your child changes groups or suspends their account.
- Recently, we've had some families (and even our coaches) experiencing glitches with Remind, making some recent texts from us unavailable.
We are going to completely exit Remind by May 15th. In the meantime, I urge you to click below on the Seminole Aquatics level that your child is currently in. From there, just follow the easy instructions to join the SportsYou messaging for that group:
From now until May 15, we will be sending out texts to our swimming families using both Remind and SportsYou. But again, after May 15, we will be deleting the Remind system and using only SportsYou.
So, please go ahead and click on the above group(s) and add SportsYou!
